My surgery story!

So as some of you may know, i was admitted to the hospital on Thursday afternoon and had surgery on Friday afternoon. Here's what happened for those who were concerned. On Wednesday afternoon i was having severe chest pain and it was going into my back. The pain was bad enough to make me throw up several times. So, my wonderful sister-in-law took me to the urgent care. They did a chest xray and some other tests and decided that it had to be my lap-band. Everything else looked good. So i went into my lap-band Dr on Thursday and he admitted me right away. At that point it had been over a week since I had kept any fluids down and he said i was severely dehydrated. They gave me an iv and some pain meds and scheduled me for surgery for the next day. I was at surgical specialty hospital which in in Phoenix. That's about an hour away from home! My husband had such a hard time coming to visit me because he was working/taking care of the boys. Luckily my "adopted dad" Randy was able to be there for me during the surgery. He's the same one that went to Disneyland with us (in case you were wondering). He took good care of me. After i came out of the surgery, i felt better and they slowly started to give me broth and juice. Anyways, i was discharged home on Sunday night and i am loving being out of that crazy boring place, LOL. i missed my boys so much. We have lots of friends and family who have been here at the house helping me with the boys and meals. I am so fortunate to have so many people who love me and my family and who are so willing to help us. I will go on Monday the 6th to get my stitches out and will keep everyone updated. I love you all, thanks for your prayers.

Huh? And here I thought you got my permission for everything! LB surgery? Wow, Stacey. Big time stuff!

I am soooo glad you got the extra medical care and attention that you needed and that you are okay. That must have been scary!

Do you want some help with the house now? I can do that!
